This page provides information related to the CardioMetaboliQ Test and Health Report, including information associated with the testing framework, intended use, and explanation of specific aspects of the test.
Because of the potential risk of contamination of the blood droplet by glucose on the skin, CardioMetaboliQ is designed to assess results for contaminated sampling. Skin glucose can artificially raise the FBG indicator if the skin is not cleaned properly during preparation for the blood spot draw. If the FBG marker appears to be abnormally elevated, and does not correlate well with the Hemoglobin A1C derived value, the Hemoglobin A1C value of estimated Average Glucose will be used in the test report calculations. This design is intended to preserve the value of the information provided to the user in the report, even in cases of sample contamination by the user during the draw procedure.
